Hi,

What do you mean by 3v? Please provide more information or examples and I will try to answer your question.

Hi,
Can't have + 3v form of verb , I mean "can't have+ past participle meaning and definition.
E.g. She can't have gone to the United States.

Thanks a lot

'Can't have' is saying it is not possible.

She can't have gone to the US.
Is it not possible that she went to the US.

"She can't go to the US." and "She can't have gone to the US." is different.

When you say "She can't go to the US." you know where this person is and for some reason, she is unable to go to the US.

When you say "She can't have gone to the US." you do not know where this person is, but you know that she did not go to the US.

Other example sentences:

"He can't have eaten the apple." - you don't know who ate the apple, but you know it is not the person you are talking about
"He can't have gone to school." - you don't know where he is, but you know he is not at school
"He can't have driven the car." - You don't know how he went, but you know he didn't drive the car
"He can't have broken the computer." - someone broke the computer, but you know it is not the person you are talking about
