Trying to study English by yourself when you are not completely motivated can be very difficult.

My suggestion is to find a group to study with. If you have interaction, games, and goals created with other people, you can hold one another accountable and practice with one another. Then it will be easier to study regularly.

If you have to study alone, I encourage you to create a lesson plan and follow it diligently. For example, you can study 1 hour a day covering three lessons on talkenglish.com.

However, that is not the difficult portion. Studying English is actually the easy part. The difficult part is getting motivated to study. There are many people who start exercising and stop after 1 month. There are many people who start studying and stop after 2 weeks. But for those who are diligent and study continuously for 6 months, they will see so much improvement that everyone will be surprised.

Basically, ask yourself why you want to learn English. And if the reason is not strong enough, then don't waste your time trying. But if your reason is strong enough, then use that as your motivation. Set your goals and go after them.
